So I've dropped 120 pounds. Now the weight loss is going soooo slooowly now. 2 pounds in 2 weeks. I lost 8 pounds from November to December. Is there anything I can do to give myself a little boost to lose again?  I was considering going back to shakes. Anything to get me out of this slump. I know its not going to be a fast ride here but I would like to lose at least another 8-10 pounds by February 23 when I go back for my 6 month visit.  Also,,, still no word as to when the endoscopy is. I will keep you posted.

I think that is awesome, I'd be sooo happy. you know it will slow down at somepoint.  I say keep up what your doing, your body is just catching up with all your loss.

I have lost about the same amount of weight in the last couple of months too.  I think when we get to a certain point it just goes very slowly and we have to work hard and exercise.  I can't find the tapes I wanted to send you.  I keep hoping I will come across them, they weren't where I thought they were.  Keep at it, it will come off.

I think your progress is fabulous!  I believe that your body is going to have to adjust to the drastic changes every once in a while, so don't get discouraged.

Can you increase your activity to kick start your metabolism?  I do seated exercises with resistance bands, Wii boxing while seated, and exercise in the pool at the YMCA so that my joints aren't aggrevated.  Also, are you still measuring and writing down everything you consume?  That can make it easier to see what may be slowing you down.

Keep up the amazing job,
Bev

Sometimes kicking up your protein will help.  And also find a good exercise program if you haven't already.  It is the Key!!

I agree with everyone else.  Basically you may need to increase your physical activity.  Also keep track of your food - it's possible that your carbs have inched their way up and that may be negatively affecting your weight loss.  We do have slow downs and stalls and they are part of the process unfortunately.  Just keep on keeping on and things will get moving - promise!

Not much else I can add.......watch your portions, your carbs, and increase your activity, if you can.  The other thing to consider is that as we get closer to goal, it does get harder to lose as you have less fat in your fat cells.  It's just harder to burn it off.  Also, your body gets more efficient and you burn less calories in a day, unless you are able to increase your activity.  You are still on a downward trend, so that is a good thing!!  You've done an awesome job so far and I know you'll get there if you just remember all that you've learned along the way.  Good luck!  You're doing great!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks everyone. Your imput is helpful. I am currently doing Sweating to the Oldies (Thanks Ruth) and what a workout that is. Even my shoulders felt it the first several days. And much to my delight, and suprise, I dropped 4 pounds this past week. I dropped 2 pounds in the two weeks prior to yesterday's weigh in.  Its just going to take me some getting used to the fluxuations.
