Is it weird...

Is it weird that I'm getting more confident and less nervous as my surgery date approaches?  You'd think it would be the other way around!  When I first got my date back in October, I was still a little uncertain about the whole thing.  Excited, but nervous.  But now that my surgery is up next Thursday (14th), I'm like, bring it on!  Let's do this thing!  LOL

I do have to say that I have been blessed with absolutely wonderful support from all corners.  My family, my friends, my co-workers, my doctors...everyone has been totally on board from the beginning and I think that makes a huge difference.  I've been so lucky that I've been able to tell everyone and talk about the surgery and not have to deal with the stress of keeping it secret or someone calling it "the easy way out" or freaking out about it.  I have a bunch of awesome, awesome people in my life, and I am truly thankful.

Not weird at all.   I was scared and excited at the same time.  It's a huge step but having that support makes the journey that much easier!  Good luck!

That's great I was very much at peace with it too. The surgery I just had though I was more nervous. I really felt like the RNY wasn't elective for me. Thrilled for you!

Not weird at all!  I was totally calm, even waiting for my surgery the day of, which Dr Cobean ended up being over 30 minutes late. I had been waiting in the program sooooo long, that I was SO ready for it to be done!
