I finally went back to the gym.  It was very crowded as everyone is geared up from the new year.  I want to get back to at least three days a week.  I also want to get my little guy walking.  He is going to be 8 on the 30th of this month is is a little chunk.  He tops the scale at 108.  He is tall for his age but not that tall. LOL  We have been working on healthy eating but it has been hard.  My other child needs extra calories due to a medication that he is on.  It's hard to make one eat and the other not.   LOL  So I picked him up early from his after school program to walk with me.  We did a mile before he asked to go back to "camp" LOL (he usually hates "camp").  He was a little tire as he doesn't pace himself yet.  It will get better the more we do it.  Now hopefully today I can get him into shorts or at least a t shirt.  I was happy as I was able to actually run around the whole track without stopping.  I would love to learn to run good but all it seems to do is make my throat sore from gasping. LOL

not like i'm an expert, but i hate exercise.  and I want it to be fun.  play kick ball, go snow shoeing, sledding, ice skateing, roller skating, soccer, swim at the y, wii, so he don't even know he's doing it.  mix it up. walking can seem endless to him (TO ME??)  does he have a male roll model? someone to bring him to the gym.  call big brother's, call the Y.  see what programs they offer. when I b ring MLM swimming you should see the kids with their dads running in the gym throwing basket balls, and playing volley ball,  I really don't think they look at it as exercise, but more like having fun.  and I said Male roll modle cause he is a boy, and boys look up to men.  I know it hard, but you know......  make it fun, winters in maine suck... how about high school kids,

I'm sorry but my mind went straight to the gutter on that one!  But you don't suck!  Weight loss is a journey not a destination for most of us.  You are doing much better than you think!!
