I guess I got too ****y!

I remember lamenting a few days ago that "oh, how I wish I dumped!"  Well, my wish came true!!   21 months out and I had a pretty good "dump" today.  I was snacking on crap that I shouldn't have been ( PB filled pretzels followed by some crab meat stuffing and a protein bar for lunch)  Not sure if I ate too fast or if the stuffing wasn't good, or WHAT the deal was, BUT, I arrived at my pt's home at 1230 and proceeded to feel REALLY bad....sweating, nose running, heart palpitations, dizzy, thought I was gonna puke.....it was NOT good!  What a good first impression I must have made on that patient!  haha!

I managed to finish the visit, get myself home, luckily I was only about 2 miles from home, called in to my supervisor so she could call my last two patients and cancel them,  and I crawled into bed to "get over this" dump!  What a crappy afternoon!  (Not literally...haha!)  I feel much better now but......LESSON learned!

MY POUCH STILL RULES!  So, for you newbies and those of you who, like me, think you don't dump......be careful and don't get ****y as I did!   I'm still regretting it!

Have a nice evening!

That's too bad Ruth and I do hope you are feeling better today.

I have noticed on a few occasions now that red meat hasn't been sitting well with me no matter how well its chewed.  Before surgery I loved to eat steak and now I take it or leave it, especially since I have to be picky about cuts and everything.  I feel like a steak snob...lol  It's just not worth the discomfort after having it stuck in your pouch. We did Thanksgiving early with my parents and had take out from Marco's.  I ordered sirlion or New York strip, it wasn't overly cooked.  Only could have a few bites.   My MIL made a nice prime rib roast for our Christmas dinner together, I didn't eat very much of it before it starting causing problems.  It was nice and moist...just wasn't able to digest it.  I was so sick after eating only a small amount.  Let me tell you it was a long drive home from Strong to Livermore resisting the urge to purge.  I am not sure how I made it...guess because it was snowing, my kids were in the car, and it was dark!  I do have to say though that the petite filet mignon at the Outback is the bomb!  lol
