High protein snack ideas...
that are portable.
Hi all,
I'm a teacher and my schedule does not allow for many breaks. I get a short break in the a.m. around 9:00 which I eat a snack, I eat lunch at 11:15. Then, I teach straight until 2:30. I like to work out right after school in our exercise room, but I really feel that I need a snack around 1-1:30 ish so I have energy for the work out. I'd been doing a protein drink in the afternoon, but I'm getting bored with that. I'd love some suggestions of foods that I could easily eat at my desk or while I teach (administration has already said it was okay.) Oh and no nuts are allowed as we have several kids that may react even if they smell them or touch the oils.
Thanks!

do you have a microwave? do you bring a cooler. there is beef jerkey, or eggface "Bites", cheese stick, turkey pepperoni, yogurt, pickel wheels (ham, creamcheese with pickel spear rolled up and sliced to look like little wheels). lots of people have those protein chips (i'm too cheap to spend money on those and protein bars), but some people have those all the time.

scroll down and see all the varieties she makes. I even have them cold for breakfast.

Yup....ditto what everyone else said. Beef jerky, eggface bites (I eat those cold at times too!), Kay's natural chips (or soy type chips with lots of protein), dry roasted edamame, protein bars (I still like the chocolite and the Genisoy crunch bars...both have good carb, calorie and protein ratios.
Good luck!
Good luck!
