stuck on everything

My band is weird.  Some days I am pretty darn tight and get stuck easily and others I an eat bread, pasta, etc., no problem.  The past few days though have been bad and I keep getting stuck.....on good things!  So frustrating and then I get really hungry and eat crap b/c I know it will go down.  Grrrrrrr.......some days, quite frankly, I hate my band.  I've pb'd so many times over the last few days I lost count.  It sucks.

WOW!  That does not sound like fun!  Hope you can figure it all out or that your band starts cooperating!  SHHEESSHHH!   Good luck!

well, I think your too tight.  if you can't eat the right foods then you will begin eating the bad stuff and the band won't work for you.  Of course, eating bad stuff isn't all the band or RNY's fault, I'm guilty of it as i'm sure lots of others are.  but, if your hungry and have to resort to bad stuff my opinion is your too tight.  maybe a "TINY" unfill would do the trick and you could start eating good stuff again.  Good luck,  the band is a very finicky tool.  i'm still learning, but making the wrong choices and exercise is my biggest problem.  I still love my band.  it has kept me 40 lbs. under where I was, I would be up 60 by now without it, at the rate I was gainning before I had it.  but the number one place to start is being able to eat the foods you "NEED".  hang in there

I agree with MAMAG I think you are too tighte, you will be surprised what a little unfill will do.

OK, I emailed the nurse.  We'll see what she says.  Shame or not I need to get this under control, it's not healthy.

there needs to be no shame.  This is a learning process, and if your hungry and are eating stuff that will go down, it very possible to gain.  do you thing your the first one to have these problems?  just tell him you thought this was the way you were suppose to feel??  but obviously "Its not"  good luck. let us know

I agree with the others that it sounds like you're a tad too tight.  And there should be no shame involved.  We all fluctuate and we all make poor choices sometimes, especially when we're hungry and the "good" stuff makes us feel sick.  Just do what you need to do to take care of yourself and you'll be back on track soon!
