RNY question
Hey fellow RNY friends. I was wondering about alcohol. Does champagne have a negative affect on anyone? I really want to have a couple of Mimosas on Christmas and since I have not had any alcoholic beverages since surgery, I would like to get some imput on experiences with alcohol. Also, does anyone have any suggestions on what brand of OJ I can have. I have not had fruit juice since surgery either.
Thanks
Thanks
I haven't had much to drink since surgery, but the drinks that I have had have hit me quickly and the buzz has gone away almost as quickly. I had 1 glass of champagne at a wedding last August and I did fine...just drank it very slowly.
I'd go with that light/reduced sugar OJ...I don't remember the brand. I think maybe it was Tropicana.
Good luck!

well i had a few sips of beer and thats no good but i have had some light egg nogg a frend made and felt fine. cant drink enough to catch a buzz. I am not a big drinker eather. i usualy have a bit of nogg around the holidays and thats my extent of drinking for the year. . I drank less then 4 0z of the stuff.
I would dilute the OJ 1/2 water to juice.
Alcohol- it doesn't take much to get me looped these days. For me a half drink of something is enough.

I can't drink anything with bubbles without a lot of pain. Be careful drinking anything carbonated as it can stretch your new stomach. I don't do oj either. too much sugar and it get really nauseous.
I do have a glass of wine or a twisted tea and one glass knocks me for a loop. be careful as alcohol will hit you faster now.
