Pregnant? Alittle TMI but need advice...
Hi all! I had gastric bypass on May 7, 2009, and i've struggled with normal cycles and stuff for yeras, never really menstrated on my own except with medication.
I am down 125 lbs since February and I'm six months post op.
About a month and a half ago my doctor put me on a low dose of birth control to start me having normal cycles. I started bleeding three days into takeing it and didn't stop for five weeks. I ended up in the emergency room at one point slightly anemic and lightheaded. THey then put me on Provera for 21 days to stop the bleeding and then after the 21 days have what they called "a medication induced DNC" to clean everything out and start over.
The 21 days ended on November 14th, I have not started bleeding at all and haven't had a period since.
During the last month my husband and I haven't been careful with a second method of birth control. We havne't used birth control prior to my surgery for seven years and I've never been pregnant.
Well for the last couple of weeks off an on I've been feeling nauseious at random times, sometimes when I'm eating or out of the blue, I've kind of written it off as due to the surgery.
I've also been lightheaded when I stand up or move around a lot which has only been happening the last couple of weeks.
I took a pregnancy test on Saturday the 28th and it was negative, so I put the thought out of my head..... until....
Last night I got home and went to change and when I took my bra off my breats hurt so much, my nipples were very senstive and they ached most of the evening (I have never exeperienced this before even with periods)
Also the last four days I've had really mucousy clear discharge it large amounts that it not something I've ever really experienced either.
I'm wondering what people think I should do, take another test? Go to the Doctor? I do and don't want to be pregnant, it's too early since surgery, but at the same time I've thought for so long I wouldn't be able to have children, that it would be such a blessing.
What did other people feel when they found out? Early symptoms?
Thanks
Jenn

Okay ladies, Thank you for all your help and information and support! That's why I love this forum!
I talked to my doctor's office yesterday, they said to take a pregnancy test this morning and if it's negative to wait a week and see if my period starts and then re-test again. If it was positive then to call them obviously.
So I took a test this morning... it was NEGATIVE. I'm not pregnant according to the test. I'm still having many of the same symptoms, but I was thinking about what a couple of you have said and I've never really had normal cycles on my own, maybe my body is finally doing what it is supposed to.... I am alittle freaked out because the whole "medication induced dnc" hasn't happened like he thought it should.
So I must admit I'm alittle disappointed, I know health wise it's good that I'm not. But I'm just alittle disappointed..... I guess I let myself hope a little.
Thanks!
