Is there a way to help prevent sagging skin pre or post op? I dont know if ill be able to get the skinned removed right away after i lose the weight so if there is something that i can do to help curb this side effect of losing the weight.

Sagging skin is tricky. It really depends on genetics and how long you have been overweight/how much it has been stretched.  I carried most of my extra weight below the waist so that is where my extra skin is.  I have extra skin on my arms, lifting weights will help fill in some of the space but mine will not go away without plastics.

I gotta second what Shell said!  A LOT depends on your age, genetics, how stretched your skin is, etc.  I am 44 and have been overweight ALL my life!  SO..........YUP, I've got some saggy skin!  Most of mine is in my abdominal area, but my arms and inner thighs aren't very pretty either!  I HAVE noticed though, since I've been working out, my arms have filled in a BIT  (NOT much, but a BIT!).  BUT...........you know what???    I am to the point that I would MUCH rather be healthy than to tax my body with all that extra weight I was carrying around!  I can deal with some skin!

Maybe one day I'll be able to afford plastics........if not, oh well!  Love me or leave me is what I tell my hubby!  So far, he's hanging around!  haha!

I agree.  I definately need a lower body lift.  It is getting pretty bad.  I look great in clothes and go no where with out my spanks. LOL  Otherwise I look like a melting candle.  Can't wait to get plastics done.

i was told once you get stretch marks your skin is damaged beyond repair. mine has shrunk a little but i definatley need a tummy tuck. no matter how many crunches i do i will still have skin. the muscle underneath is getting firmer though.

Hey Lisa! how are you?  I can't remember did you get an appointment with Dr Cutie at Plastic and Hand?  How is that going?  I get to see him next week.  I am currently waiting for insurance approval for scar tissue repair.
