Allowed to eat the skins of any cooked vegetables or fruit?

I have been doing it, because of the fiber content.

In addition:

  • Eat only canned or very tender, well-cooked fruits and vegetables.
  • Do not eat any raw fruits or vegetables, except bananas.
  • Do not eat the skins of any cooked vegetables or fruit.
Thanks,
Lynda H.

I think it is just hard for some people to digest them.  I have never had a problem, myself.

Thank-you, so I can continue eating the apple skins & potatoes.

Another question, how come I don't see my post & then when I go & do it again, it's doubled. I thought it got deleted. I don't know how to delete them?

Thanks,
Lynda

I eat them too. I think it's just for the early stages and people who have trouble.  In the beginning you don't have room for all that fiber.

I think what Kelly said is what our doctor said too.  Early out, it's not good, but later on, depends if your stomach "likes" it or not.

We are allowed to eat  the skins after  six weeks.  It is because  we dont always chew them as well and they are hard to digest.  I eat potato  skins and apple skins.  I just looked in the new book and it doesnt say that.   if you get to  a support group  you should ask for a new binder.   Keeps you up on all the new things

take care
