Beef

I don't know why but I just cannot eat beef at all. I made this beautiful pot roast in the crock pot and it came out perfect.  I had no problem with it getting stuck but as soon as it reached my pouch, the pouch protested. I got sick to my stomach that first bite.  I had a couple more bites and that was all I could handle.  The next day I decided to try it one more time just to make sure I wasn't mistaken. Well there was no mistake.  My pouch let me know who was boss.  I took one bite and vomited immediately.  I wonder what it is about beef that I cannot tolerate.  I have no problem with other meats.  Well I am doubtful that I will try it again in the future.  The thing is that I crave red meat.  It must be the iron in it that I am needing.  Oh well, I will just chalk it up as a bad experience. Does anyone else have this problem?

What you have problems with today may not be a problem tommorrow.  Don't give up.  The pouch is a mysterious thing.  I have trouble with crockpot meat because there isn't enough fat left in it for my pouch, but others need dry meat.   Good luck, try ground beef mixed with some cheese?

Amazing how different and finicky our pouches can be!  Some can't tolerate beef, others chicken, yet others, eggs.  Who knows??!!!   I guess I am one of the lucky ones that typically can handle about anything.   Maybe hold off for a while and try beef a little later in your journey!  Don't give up on it completely yet!   Have you tried beef...as in lunch meat?  Sliced really thin, chewed really well?   Can you tolerate ground beef at all??   Don't give up yet.......just give it some time!  Hang in there!

ya, I agree with every one else, you never know what your pouch will protest against. I feel lucky to say since this week my pouch is nice to me and likes what i put in it.

HIJACK,
Sara, you already look so much thinner in your face.  I can't imagine how the rest must look!   Good job!
