I get to have surgery again, its a good thing tho.

Well I saw my OB/GYN today, I've had trouble with heavy periods my whole life, since I was eleven years old.  Used to be able to control it with birth control, but not anymore.  Since I have lost 110 pounds he feels it is safe for me to have a hysterectomy, I have wanted this for so long and I am so excited to be able to live my life without this burden. 

So it looks like the middle of December I will be going in for surgery again, hopefully this will be the last time.

Good news for you!!  What's the recovery time like?

He said plan on being out of work for six weeks but that if I felt up to it I could go back sooner.  I am trying to get it done in this calendar year because I have met my out of pocket for the year and it won't cost me any money.  Plus, no more periods!! YEAH!

Wish I could have one too.   LOL  I know it is major surgery but to never have a period again would be wonderful.  PS I called and made my appointment today just like I promised. 

Good girl!  That is important sfuff, oh yeah.  I won't have to have those ever again either he said.
