Thoughts/Prayers for a friend

I have a friend in Paris who was getting ready to have bypass surgery in January.  He fell sick with swine flu this week and is in very critical condition, they don't think he'll make it.  His family is flying over from Illinois.  Derek is a dad to two young kids and was doing what he could to improve his health so he would be around for them.  It would be a shame for him to leave this world now.  Please think of him and his family.  :*(

I'm sorry to hear about your friend for sure.  Was his immune system compromise to begin with?  That's all I've been hearing about lately with the swine flu that it seems to affect those with low immunities really bad.  I will be thinking of him!

Hope your friend pulls through this and is ok.  My thoughts are with him and his family!
