My First Wow -- And I haven't had surgery yet.

 Hi all,

My surgery is tomorrow morning at 7:45.  I'm excited, nervous and scared.

I haven't stepped on the scale at all during the liquid diet because I didn't want to be discouraged.  Last night I went to Wal-Mart while my husband was cooking dinner for the kids and him.  While I was there, I wanted to pick up some new PJs because mine are ratty and I was embarrassed to bring them to the hospital.  I picked up my usual size 22/24.

When I got home I tried them on and I was swimming in them.  The pants are not falling down, so I'm going to keep them for the extra room in case I have swelling or bloating, but I definitely could have gotten an 18/20.  So... here's the wow moment.  I decided to step on the scale just to see how much weight I've lost.  Since I've been on the liquid diet, I've lost 11 lbs.  I lost 8 before that, so since I attended my orientation meeting, I've lost a grand total of 19 lbs.

When I bought the size 22/24 PJs I thought, "This is the last time I'm ever going to be buying this size again."  Woo hoo!

Good luck tomorrow!  If someone has time to post or let one of us know how you are doing we'll all be waiting to hear!  Just remember to take the pain meds, walk, and sip water (once they let you) they forgot to give me water until they gave me a shake before I left so you may need to remind them.

my cell is 691-3282 and my email is [email protected]  let me know and I'll post for all!

Patient intake just called and I guess I was moved to 7:15.  Getting excited and nervous.  I'm sad to say goodbye for a while to my students at school.
