It's been awhile since I have been on here...good to see everyone is doing well!

Since my last post, I have been working with my PCP to get a referral to EMMC weight loss program.  Although my PCP did that, I was rejected by my insurance company as I did not have anything else wrong with me besides being overweight. (ie diabetes, high blood pressure, heart disease, sleep apnea)  I finally got an appointment for a sleep study done to see if I do have sleep apnea (both my mother and brother have it and have CPAP) I went today to get the results and I do indeed have sleep apnea.  I have to go back in Thursday night for another study, this time with a CPAP machine to get the pressure right so I can get my own machine.

So now I am hoping that since I do have the diagnosis of that, I can continue on with the weight loss surgery...I haven't let all this discourage me!

That's what I have been up to LOL

It's amazing the hoops we have to "jump" through to get a surgery that, in the long run, will save the insurance company money!  sshheesshhh!   Hang in there though!  Anything worth doing is worth working for and your HEALTH is DEFINATELY worth working for!  Good luck and keep us posted on your progress!

don't give up,  it took me three years of struggling with insurances before my surgery.
