Anyone else guilty of this?  OMG, I hate it.  It is the #1 reason for a stall or gain for me and I STILL do it.  I go through great stretches of not doing it and then fall back in.  Argh.

no I don't do it, but have been known to before,  my bedroom is upstairs andwould have to come down to eat so I am too lazy.  it is such a Battle we have isnt' it.  I have my own demons and just can't seem to shake them.  I understand now why alot of people choose RNY, cause they "Can't have" FAt or sugar, and if they do they get sick.  dont get me wrong, I'm still not sorry I went with the band, but certainly need my brain operated on too.  If I hadn't had the band put on I wouldn't have had anything done so I'm happy I do have somekind of restriction and have lost 40 lbs (Well less now)  oiyyy But I also see it is just as hard for RNY patients, (fighting their demons, and funny how we can actually find new ones) like we've said, the reason why we are obeste isn't cause our stomach had done us wrong but our brains.  and that hasn't been fixed....we just need to get into better habits and make better choices.  now, what are you going for at night?  left overs? chips? cake?

See I have to walk through the kitchen to get to the bathroom.  UGH.  I always go for sweets, my weakness.  I know the scale would be down a little this AM had I not snacked on sugar cookies w/frosting

you know, for me the scale drops when I cheat, I work hard and do so good and it goes up, no wonder i get so discouraged. I dont understand my body.

I don't dump on anything. I can eat sweets, fried foods, you name it.  But I do what MamaG does, I go upstairs at night and try to stay there. I take up a drink and maybe sometimes a piece of string cheese or SF pudding and I don't go back down for nuthin!

It's hard, good luck.

I don't do this but definetly too much snacking other times.  I too can eat anything now.  Once in a while I might get a little upset stomach but not really sick like in the beggining if I had something I shouldn't.  I also find that I am eating too fast again.  Really bad habit!!!

As Cheryl said, they operate on our bellies, not our heads!  It's really hard to tell your brai that you don't really want something........I have a REALLY hard time fighting this, especially in the evening!  I've even eaten myself into feeling sick, just because my BRAIN said I wanted something though my tummy DID NOT!!!!!  I, too, can eat ALMOST anything at this point, but I still choose not too because I don't want to go back to where I started from.  Yup.........I STILL eat my chips in the evening (NOT GOOD)  but I'm trying to teach myself to have 1 serving and plan for it during the rest of the day.

Maybe keeping a picture of yourself at your heaviest somewhere where you can see it when you want that snack might help to make you slow down and think about if you REALLY want that snack or not?  I dunno.........it works for me..........SOMETIMES!

If you find something to fix our brains, let me know!  I'll be the first to "buy" it!!!!!!!

Good luck!  Keep on trying!  We're all in this together, it seems!!!!

Great idea about the picture.  I have noticed I have been snacking more also.  I think I will post my before photo on the fridge and snack cupboard.
