in need or a wake up call

So I could use your help!

I'm still at a stall, 284, doesn't change, hasn't changed for about three weeks.

The last month or so I have falled to the pitfalls of carbs- herbal popcorn to be exact and peanuts. Although peanuts are high in protein the herbal popcorn is not. I'm trying to kick it in the butt right now, but it's hard. I've had a lot of throwing up since surgery and a lot of bumps in the road and when I found something that i actually enjoyed to eat (popcorn) I went for it and was eating way too much of it! I need your help! Tough love as they say! Tell me I shouldn't be doing this, i am trying to tell myself too.

I'm also concerned I did this and i'm done losing, i know we have all felt this way, but three weeks at just under a 100 is scaring me when I have another 100 to go. It's hard not comparing myself to others who are doing so well.

Thanks for listening.

Hi Jenn,
I don't have any wisdom for you, but I wanted to let you know that I wish you the best and I'm positive you can do it!  Hang in there and know that there are lots of people on this message board who are wishing you well. From what I've read, everyone has ups and downs, so don't give up. You really can do this!
Blessings to you!

Hey hon! Love you, you know that right?  Okay, now tough love.  You HAVE to get your protein in first.  I have learned that lesson and did not like it.  MamaG is right, without protein your body is just going to freak out.  You don't want too much protein but you have to focus on 60-80 grams a day. It's not always easy, trust me.  But you CAN do this, I know you can. See you on Saturday???

thank you guys! I know there are things i need to do to get back on track. I think i've been letting myself get away with things and it's time to stop. I hope I will be at the support group on saturday but I also have class that morning. I'm going to see if I can get out of it. but i'm not sure. Thank you guys for your support.
I have started journaling on livestrong.com which coordinates with myplate.com but only for about a week now.
Thank you!

Hiya Jenn........
I gotta agree with all the others.......protein first and journal!  And......drink tha****er!  You CAN and WILL break this stall, but you've got to get back to "basics"!  It's hard!  I know that from first hand experience!  You can do it though!  Just keep your mind on your goals.........you can do it!
You aren't done losing yet..........the body needs a chance to catch up, it's just regrouping!  Get back to the guidelines your nut and doc gave you and you'll be happy dancing soon enough!
Hugs!
Ruth

(Hope I didn't sound too mean..........I just KNOW how you feel!)

Stalls are the pits!  Keep on working your program- everyone is right. I look at stalls as a time my body is re-arranging itself. The scale may not be moving, but if you are doing as you should your shape is toning up.

Protein 1st, journal, water, exercise. Don't waste pouch space with popcorn and watch the nuts. Yes the nuts have protein, but they pack a large calorie count if you keep on munching past the 1 serving point- I know- I have a terrible time with almonds, walnuts, cashews- ANY nut!  Like they say you can't just eat one- that's me!
