family eating healthy
boy this is a challenge, cause my DH is a fussy man. we went shopping today and had to laugh at him. he said this Whole Wheat crap is gonn give me the craps. haha, AND those turkey burgers might just make me gag. I told him, you need to be flexible and at least try it, if you don't like it I won't make it again. I'm making a folder of "successful recipes and meals. I gave him choices today and he did go with Multi grain rolls. but its better then white I guess. I plan on making meatballs 1/2 and 1/2 ground turkey and beef, I can't expect too much. he is trying. he love my sf jello with apple slices last night and ff cool whip. so we bought all kinds of variety of jello's and fruit today, Orange/canned mandrin slices, cherry w/frozen cherries, raspberries/frozen fruit. as you can tell i'm having fun. my new project... NOW, i'm looking up ww pasta salad recipe, I will share recipe when I make it. ya'll have a good day
Mine has gotten used to it, he doesn't really ask for potator or rice anymore. He's not too, too fussy though when it comes to meats and breads. He'll eat whole wheat or ground turkey. I even make whole wheat pizza crust and he never says a word. I'm lucky I guess.
Good luck, and let us know how that pasta comes out. I bought some of the Dreamfield's low digestible pasta and it was great.

wow, your lucky, i think having someone like this in the house, bring in foods we shouldn't have, It is so easy to eat leftovers that we shouldn't have. my DH loves lazagna, potatoes, gravy, blah blah blah, I gave him a long talk tonight out on the boat and he smiled the whole time. He knows he needs to get healthy, but wants to eat FOREVER. haha, doesn't that sound familiar. I said, "just be flexible" i'm willing to work with you, but he need to try things... IDON"T want to eat yakkie tasting food and would NEVER ask him to, lets just work together. I"m a good cook and willing to try making things he likes.
I have to say my family will make substitutions for many things. I use ground turkey all the time. When it is in a sauce they don't hardly notice the difference. It is the snacks that are bad in our house. The kids have to have their snacks. I try to have healthy things but I cave and buy some of the junk.
