My 1 month follow-up
Well I was very pleased with my follow-up appointment yesterday. I saw the Nut and the nurse practitioner. The nut said that I need to work on getting all of my water in. I'm averaging about 32 oz right now. I also need to work at getting more protein. Both are a challenge i'm discovering. I've been averaging about 10 pounds a week right now. I have lost 37 pounds since surgery. I'm pleased with my progress so far. I am feeling a notable difference in how I move about. I am quicker on my feet and more flexible. I'm even having less sleep apnea already. I have absolutely no regrets with my decision to have the RNY. My only complaint is that i am having some stomach aches. Not exceedingly painful just annoying. If I lean forward too much I get a stomach ache. The nurse said it sounds like muscloskeletal rather than my pouch and told me to reposition frequently.
Wow, that's great for 1 month out. Protein and water will be on your mind from now on. Keep working on it. You'll get up to your quotas.
I've heard a lot of people say that their bodies felt different after weightloss. Not just the appearance but different aches and pains after a different size and shape.
