Lap Band is on...
Had my surgery this morning at the new MMC Scarborough surgery center. They did a great job of making me comfy. Everything was very smooth and I was home at noon (arrived at 6:30). I am a bit sore now, but not anywhere what I thought it would be. Phew. Thank you all again for sharing all of your information, I felt totally prepared. I keep thinking sip,sip,sip...walk, walk walk.
Congratulations on a smooth surgery day. Welcome to the loosers bench.
yup-- sip, sip, sip and walk, walk, walk.

Thank you everyone. I am doing pretty good. My incisions don't hurt at all, just sore in the midsection. Gas pain was bad yesterday evening, this evening not really there at all, hoping it doesn't come back or something. It is strange to feel the port under my skin, but it doesn't seem to hurt right there so far. You are right about the pain meds. I had felt good but the oxycodone was making me wired instead of drowsy. The nurse thought since I was doing well I could switch to tylenol so I could sleep. That was a mistake on the second day....I am now pretty sore. So starting oxy again. I am doing well with the water intake and I had a slimfast shake today split into breakfast and lunch. Looking forward to some chicken broth and maybe a protein smoothie recipe tomorrow. But not really hungry, that is pretty cool.
