Anyone thinking about attending the OH Event in NY?

I would love to go, but not sure if I can afford it.  I think I explore the cost of getting there.  Let me know if you are interested and we can share some expenses.  I think it would be really informative and a great treat to myself for all the hard work I have put in.

After researching I think it is best to drive.  It is about 6 hour away.  It looks like the best stuff is happening Saturday.  I would leave on Friday and stay Friday night and Saturday night and come home Sunday.  it is 50 dollars for the conference and a few meals, 109 each night plus gas.  (It is about 400 miles each way) So it looks like we could go for around $230.00 each.  Just a thought.  I wouldn't want to drive myself thats for sure. 

That wouldn't be too bad.  My only concern is my youngest is turning sixteen on November 8th and I"m not sure what we are doing for her.  The prices aren't bad...  driving would be okay too, like you said as long as you have someone to go with.  I'll check with the kiddo and the hubby and see if it will work.  I would like to go, like you said we need different kinds of rewards for ourselves!

Oh- The Rye Town Hilton- We honeymooned there! I lived not far from there in Connecticut back then.

It will take you about 7 hours to drive there from Thomaston/Rockland - if traffic is going well.

It would be nice if we could all take a little road trip!!

I've also been toying with the idea of going.  I think it could be a lot of fun and if we got a few people and doubled up in rooms it really wouldn't be that expensive.  Just some food (WLS friendly of course) for thought...
