Indirect Calorimeter Test
I had my Indirect Calorimeter test today Lynn suggested I do it early due to my insurance coverage changing. It was really cool to see what I burn at rest. I was really surprised that my metabolism is actually on the fast side about 23% faster than average for my age, height and weight. I was cool with that. If I did nothing but sit all day I burn around 1987 calories. Amanda did suggest that I do a food journal for the next 6 days so she can look at it on the 15th to make sure I am eating enough and getting in all my protein. (I know I am good on the protein) My 6 month checkup is on the 15th of this month. At my visit today I have lost 100 pounds since surgery plus the 21 before. I am at -61.3 % of excess weight and have lost over 72 pounds of FAT since my three week follow up appointment. I have lost 11 pounds of lean muscle which is within their guidelines so I am happy with that. Amanda told me today that she wanted me at below 30% body fat at goal. I am 36.8% now so I feel that is well within reach. So needless to say I was very happy with my visit today.

Amazing! Can't wait to see you again, you've already changed so much. I bet your RMR is high because of all the exercise you do, and that's great. That is the point of the exercise to keep that RMR up even when you aren't actively exercising (ya' know at that very moment.)
Great job! Keep up the good work and I'll try to follow!
