Here's the update:
I had the colonoscopy earlier today and I can eat again!  YIPPEE!!!

The doc said he found 1 small polyp which he removed and he said it probably wasn't causing my pain. He said he also got a good look at the rest of my colon and into my small intestine.  He said part of that was "twisted" and he straightened it out.  He says he'll be curious to know if that will get rid of the pain for me, so he'll follow up with me in about a week to check.  So far, I'm still having the pain, off and on.  Not sure if it's because he went poking around in there or what, but we'll see what it does over the next few days.  (He didn't say this, but I'm assuming that this occurred because of the rapid weight loss, but who knows??!!  Maybe it was twisted before and I just never knew about it?)  Who knows???

Anyways!  THANK you ALL for your well wishes and prayers!  They are GREATLY appreciated!  You'll never know!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks to all of you!
Have a great evening!
Ruth

I hope that fixes your problem.  I'm happy that your procedure went well and were able to give you some reasons as to why you are in pain rather than it's a mystery.  Speedy healing in the next couple of days!

I had to stop all my vitamins 5 days before the procedure.  Then, on Monday, I could only have clear liquds!  That was NOT fun!  Tuesday morning, I had to start drinking the bowel prep stuff. It was hard getting in 8 ounces every 10 minutes, but I managed somehow!  The TASTE was HORRIBLE though!  I thought I was gonna lose it a couple of times!  I think doing clear liquids the day before really helped clean me out though!
Good luck!

I hope you're feeling better today.

Colonoscopies- the only preparation I had was to do the awful bowel prep the night before and only drink clear liquids that AM.
