So, I think I figured out how to make the carbquik onion rings work better, BUT, I'm not sure how many calories I added by doing it this way..........what do you think?

I battered the onions with carbquik (mixed with water and a few spices) and then I threw them in my fry daddy for about 3-4 seconds each, just to get the batter to  stay on them.  Then, I put them on paper towels and "dried" them off and put them in the oven to cook them.  They came out looking more like onion rings and they taste awesome!   BUT........how many calories do you think I added by throwing them in the fryer for a few seconds?  (It was literally just a few seconds...just enough to get the batter to stay on!!)

These are REALLY good...........by the way!   Any ideas on how to figure out the calorie part would be really appreciated!!!!!!!!
Thanks!

I don't know how to figure the calories but they sound YUMMY!!!  I'm not sure how much oil is absorbed in just a few seconds but I'm sure it's a lot less than frying them all the way. Sounds like a good "treat" recipe anyway.
Sorry I couldnt be any help.

Thanks for your reply!  I'm hoping it's not a whole lot of calories because they sure are worth it, either way!  haha!
