My co-worker was preparing a frozen pizza for her lunch. A DiGiorno Pizza for one, Deluxe with cheese and pepperoni.

She comments- WOW 83 grams of carbohydrates. We talk about lean cuisine and WW pizzas maybe being a better choice.

Here's the rest of the stats:
calories 770
calories from fat 320
fats 35grams
cholesterol 50mg
sodium- a whopping 1410 grams
fiber 6 grams
sugars 11 grams
protein 20 grams.

What are food companies thinking when they label this a meal for one???? Sounds more like a meal for 2 or more.

No wonder the collective "we" are/were heavy. Ours and food producers sense of portion is out of whack! Here's to being informed and reading labels.

This is very true...all the pre packaged foods/meals are convinent but very unhealthy because of the preservatives and extra crapoli they put in things to store them.  The same goes for all the fast food and even resturants.  They give you bigger servings to charge you more then you feel like you have to eat the entire thing in one sitting.  I still take my kids to McDonald's and such on occasion and it just amazes me how much food there is in one of those "value meals".  I cringe when ever I watch people order those now.  Yuck!
