9 month nut visit

Wednesday I had my 9 month visit. I had a caloriemetry test which is really helpful in planning my diet.

I was disappointed at the scale- it has been lower, but after 4 days of company and dining out I was not eating my normal fare. Way too much salt in restaurant food. That was Wednesday- today I am down to my regular weight range.

The caloriemetry test is easy, breath into a tube for 12 minutes. It computes the chemistry and rate of your breathing and gives you the # of calories your body needs daily. In my case 1950 to exist at my current weight. So from there Dayna calculated how many calories I need to consume to loose 20 pounds over the next 3 or 6 months. Counting calories, exercise; she says this is how it will be for the rest of my life to loose and maintain.

This is just what I needed. I was getting off track. I now have some true numbers, a plan and am doing "my Daily Plate" every day. From Wednesday I am down 3 pounds already. yahoo!

Congratulations on getting back on track.  You have done so well...those last twenty will come off just mot as fast as the first.  You have been such and inspiration to me as well as those of us on OH and at the support group.  Congratulations on your success.

Yeah, what Tracy said... LOL  You are doing great Emily, and I will never forget that first support group when your DH wheeled you down in your wheel chair and you had just had surgery.  You have been an inspiration to me as well, not to mention you look great!
