Moving forward

Things are moving on apace for me.  I passed my psych exam with flying colors and now have my appointment scheduled with Dr. Toder.  They couldn't get me in until October, so I'm guessing that I probably won't have surgery until December or January.  Totally depends on how difficult Medicare decides to be.  Ugh.

I'm really excited and nervous all at the same time.  I'm amazed everything has been going so well!

The process can take some time to get through.

I remember thinking it was soooo long between appointments.  Looking back I was glad I had the time to reflect on my eatng habits, change some and learn what was really bothering me. Was I angry, sad, lonely, feeling sorry for myself and how could I deal with these emotions in a non-food positive way? I learned quite a bit about myself and how I used food to stuff down the emotions.

Dr. Toder is the best and you will be happy to be in her expert hands.

Boy, once you meet the surgeon it really flys thoug, so like Emily said take this time to really reflect on things and figure out HOW you will change them.  Nice to hear from you~!

I've actually been really grateful for how long it takes to get through all of the appointments.  It's giving me plenty of time to learn as much as I can and make a lot of changes and incorporate them into my life BEFORE I have no choice!
