mainecare surgery

I have a friend in desperate need of the bypass and is on mainecare.  any surgeons in Maine still doing it with Mainecare? LET ME KNOW.  thanks

As far as I know, most of the Drs. currently accept MaineCare.  I believe you have to have a BMI over 40 and at least one comorbidity.  They consider diabetes, sleep apnea, high cholesterol and some others.  Tell your friend good luck!
