Head Hunger

I am having terrible head hunger lately, all day today and some last week too.  I know that I am not REALLY hungry, but for some reason I am obsessed with food.  I have had plenty to eat today, yet all I can do is think about food, and I know I can't eat it...there is no room at the Inn.

What do you do when you struggle with head hunger? I seem to only have it at work, when I am home I don't think much about food if at all.

I'm dealing with this a lot too.  I think for me a lot of it has to do with still being on liquids....I WANT to chew!!!  I've been trying to stay busy but it hasn't really worked.  I'll take any ideas I can get.

Well, coming from the owner of a very unhappy pouch, don't give in!!  I went ahead and ate a can of tuna anyway.... now I'm in pain.  I must be a slow learner....

I went through that too.  I also need to weigh and measure my food as I tend to over eat and get sick if I don't.  I try to drink something then I can't eat for 1/2 hour and it gives me time to decide if I am really hungry or not.  Most of the time  the hunger surpasses by having to wait.  If not then I have a snack.

Try having something to drink  like  skim milk if you can tolerate it.

The head hunger might  pass.  but  at work take   planned  snack  like  jello or  sf pudding.

You can also do carrot sticks  or  celery  or cukes if you are  far out enuf.

it is important to  weigh or measure.  as  a  can of tuna goes down well but when pouchy gets over filled it gets grumpy and it will either hurt real bad,  give you the foamies,  or you will puke sorry  tmi

I  found  a glass of milk got me over the hump.   and  a few pieces of  cereal for crunch.
but  remember  it is still calories in calories out.

Remember it isnt   brain surgery and we all struggle with head hunger.   Good luck  and you are doing great!!!!

Maybe when you have this next time have a protein shake, sometimes I make one up and can drink about half then have the rest a little later

I really need to be sure that I take a protein shake with me everyday to work. I think that would have helped a lot.  For some reason I equate work with food (stress eater...???) When I am home I have to remind myself to get my protein in.  Well too fast eating, an upset pouchy, and a migraine are making this chicky want to go to bed.

Thanks guys!  So glad you are all here.
