Chili questions
so I was trying to figure out how many calories my chili I made had, so on my Daily plate/on line I typed in Beef Chili and it said 270 calories for ONE cup. I thought wow, so I did the math, one oz of beef/drainned, celery, tomatoes, onions, peppers and one small can of beans in huge pot so not much. It came out to be about 150 or Less calories. Am I fooling myself? do you think i'm cheating if I give myself 150 calories for one cup? I just dont believe it is that high. what is your opinion?
I you use 1 pound ground beef, 1 can kidney beans, celery, tomato, peppers. Here's what I got when I plugged in the recipe. Sorry I wouldn't do "cups", but you get the idea.
4 servings with this recipe 263 calories
8 servings 181

I have been plugging my food in to another program lately, and it seems to vary on many item from the Daily Plate. I really think it's best to put our own recipes in as you did, many of don't use extra fat or fattening additions to our recipes (now). Right now I am eating my spinach/ham crustless quiche that I make. It is vastly diffrent than if I just plug in crustless quich.
So no, I don't think you are fooling yourself.
