Home and healing

Hey there, made it home last night around 6:30.  Slept like crap last night....pain was managed but had insomnia......considering the percocet wondering what hell that was all about.  Sore on one side more than the other...gonna have an easy day and try to nap.  THinking of asking if I can take a sleep aid so I am not up every hour on the hour again tonight....ugh!

Glad it went well and you are feeling good.  I slept like crap the first night too but last night was much better!  I hope the same for you!

Glad everything went well for you.  I did not have the band but I can tell you the first week was rough sleeping for me until all the meds and anesthesia clears. 

So glad you are home and hope you get plenty of rest today!

I made it home early yesterday, about 1:30p. I am also sore and have those gas pains that everyone talks about. As long as I get up and shuffle around, I immediately begin to burp or . . . well you get the point. hehe! Burping hurts in my shoulders from the built up gas but I have heard that's normal and just to keep walking, walking, walking. I am on hydrocodone and it nauseates me just a bit so I just doze off before the nausea hits me. One of my incisions has leaked/bled just a tad bit, just enough to fill the band aid pad but they said that was ok, anything more to go to the hospital. How do your incisions look? I carry most of my weight in my stomach and I'm bloated so I think it's to be expected. Take care of yourself and keep in touch!

Hey Patricia, 

I'm not really bloated.  Got some of the gas pain under my left collarbone.  I slept alot better last night.  Can't face food first am..just now getting ready to eat breakfast.  Incisions look pretty good.  Have the steri strips on still but they don't seem to be oozy or anything...even after my shower yesterday.  I took my pain meds and compazine for nausea last night before I went to bed...got a stretch of 4 hours of sleep...got up took more and went back out for 6 hours.....MUCH needed sleep.  GOt construction going on here so it's noisy from 7 am on..Hopefully I'll sleep good again tonight.

I'm walking around the house....stiff and sore but making myself walk.
NOt alot of burping but the other end most definitely.

Glad you are home and that everything went well for you.  I too was on Percocet which made me a little sick to my stomach when I took them, but about 20-30 minutes after I took them I was knocked out for a few hours.  Not sure why you can't sleep.

Take it easy and rest.
