Pre-op Diet Frustrations
I made my own cream of potato soup which was wicked good. Boiled potato, skim milk and chicken soup unjury powder. That's for lunch today.
I did have a slip last night and had a yeast roll with my soup......Just one though....I used to be able to eat 4 or 5 of them.
I am down 2 lbs as of this morning.

The scale sucks but someone mentioned our body going into survival mode and it does...we are eating so much less it's gonna be harder for that number to come down. Remember the main reason is to shrink the liver so it's not so fatty...we can't see that progress on the scale. Only the surgeons will see that.
My list said we could have homemade custard. So I made a homemade pumpkin custard with splenda. Basically I followed the one pie pumpkin pie recipe and substituted splenda for the sugar - added extra spices. It actually uses less eggs than the homemade custard recipe (half) ...It was freaking awesome. Don't know if it's a legal item technically but I can't stomach regular custard - YUCK. I will probably hold off having salad for a couple of days and stick to the soup for now.
