This weekend was CAMPOREE for my kids, it was a BLAST even in the rain!! Feet are really sore, and have a TUN of socks/wet and muddy cloths to wash but soooo worth it all!! There were not a lot of fruits and veggies available but meals went pretty well...

Friday night- set up tents in the rain, ate before we got there (Smores for boys/watermellion for me.
Sat 6 am swim

630 breakfast 1 sausage link
        1 2" pancake
        (Kids at Station 1... craft)
        (Kids at Station 2.... cooking)
     Snack1= 1/2 English muffin pizza my boys made for parents over an open fire/ 1/4 apple dumpling scouts made over the same fire (LOTS OF SUGAR... didn't sit well)
        (Kids a****er Volley Ball)
         (Kids at Ultamate, in the muddy field... was like mud wrestling with a frisby)     
Snack 2= Buffalow Stew (1 peice of buffalow w/ two small mushrooms) cooked over an open fire
      Lunch(12-1)ham, 1 oz cheese, mustard, tomato slice lettice
          (Kids at station 3... water fun)
          (Kids at Station 4... Obstilce Course.... again, mud wresteling....)
       (Walked up and down hill about a dozen times to "clean the mud off")
           (HIKE.... 45 min hike w/ Kids)
            (Taxadermy thing... kinda interesting)
FLAT DIET COKE AND TYLONOL.... I was leader of group 4.... needed the head ach releaf!!
       Dinner-530-7) Spagetti (took two small bites and knew it wouldn't be good... 
                                  Beans----yummmy slow cooked all day!!
                                  slice of bread 
                                  salad (tom./cucumber/lettice cheese/ham)
         Snack (9-10) Bite of the kids smore...

'Sundday=6 am swim/breakfast (milk)
    THEN diet coke/mentos rockets and real rockets/RED NECK SLIP N SLIDE and pudding eating contest for boys
TENT BREAK DOWN AND HEAD HOME

Was a blast of a weekend, even in the rain... lots of muddy cloths to wash now but well worth it all!! Stayed within my portions and didn't get off track too much....

Sounds like fun........even in the rain!  Were you at Camp Gustin in Sabattus?

yup, went to Gustin, i love that place. my brothers and i camped there as kids and now my kids camp there...
