My 6 week follow up with Dr. Toder & Nut!

So it went great!! Thank you guys for all your encouragement!
I saw Amanda my NUT first and she said I was doing well. Slightly heavier on their scales of course but still good. I was at 12% weight loss and she said I've only lost 1 lb of muscle and the rest has all been fat. I was very excited abou that. She progressed me to the last phase and we talked about the trouble I've had with vomitting alot, she agreed that's it's me still learning how to eat correctly!

Then came Dr. Toder, which to be honest I was most nervous about because if any of you have her, she doesn't mess around, she means business and expects a lot of us, which is good but sometimes hard on me being as sensitve as I can be. She came in and told me how proud of me she was and how great I'm doing. She said I look great and that she really feels that the vomitting is the same reasons I said, not slowing down or chewing enough. She was very supportive and encouraging and very excited about what i've done so far. She said "you'll be a skinny little thing in no time". She fixed one of my incisions that had a stick sticking out one side and I don't go back for four months to see her!

Overall I thought it was a great day! I was very encouraged by the whole thing!

Yeah !!!!  You are doing awesome.  Are you ready for some of my jeans yet?  Just let me know.  I have got to take time and clean out my closet.  It is packed with clothes that no longer fit.  I live out of the laundry basket. LOL

Congratulations on having a great appointment!!!

You're doing so well. I can't wait to see you at the next meeting.

I'm glad your appt. went well!  Sometimes we freak ourselves out for nothing, don't we?

I also have some clothes - I'm short so if anyone needs petite**** me up.  I know I have some Lane Bryant jeans in 3, 4 and 5 Short that anyone is welcome to.

Hey,
I agree that Dr. Toder can be a little intimidating at first.  But, when she followed up with me in the hospital after my surgery, she was so nice and supportive.  I think she comes across tough at first to help us realize that this is a life changing event and not to make the decision lightly.

Good for you!!!!!

Trudy: 5 days after surgery and doing great!

Thanks all for your kind words!

I'm definatly going to need clothes soon! I just took two HUGE bins to Goodwill and I'm wearing baggy 28's, I almost can't believe I'm going to say this but I think I may be ready for some 26 jeans, dress pants for work I think I'm okay, but I have nothing casual but 28's in capris and jeans so I'm moving out of those fast! Anyone above me can have them that I'm growing out of too!
I'm short, so things tend to drag on me even with petite's, but I could always hem them! We should definately have a clothing swap someday!

Can't wait to see you all!
