CARBS AND SUGAR

HOW MENY GRAMS PER SERVING IS TO MUCH CARBS OR SUGAR POST OP?? I AM A LITTLE CONFUSED ABOUT SUGAR, WHAT ABOUT FRUIT? THERE IS SUGAR IN FRUIT BUT OUR BOOK SAID TO EAT APPLESAUCE. EVEN NOSUGAR ADDED HAS SUGAR AND I HAVE NEVER SEEN SUGAR FREE APPLESAUCE. WHATS UP!

I don't do  no more then 5g of suger a meal.. and yes there Sf applesauce out there .. Try wal-mart as that where i get mine ..

I try to stay under 5g of sugar, which is what our nut told us, too.   Fruits are generally higher than that and you have to start out slowly with them post-op to see which ones you can tolerate.  Some people will dump on less than 5g of sugar, some won't dump at all.  Everyone is different.   (At this point, I can eat almost any fruit---ones that I like anyways----strawberries, blueberries, bananas)  Just go slowly and eat very small portions to see how your body tolerates them.
