My daughter graduated
My daughter graduared Saturday and I find myself stuck between sadness that she is an "adult" now and happiness because she is off too college. I also find myself sneaking junk food again, just like before my surgery. I wonder if the two are connecting. My thinking is a resounding yes! Has anyone else gone through this? Am posting pictues of her graduation and prom on my profile. Missi
She will be fine, I know I am now an "empty nester" myself and although it is different it is part of the process. You need to find another hobby, or perhaps a new pet to help fill the void. Just be careful, each time one of my kids moved out I got a new dog... now I have a whole house full of pets!
Good luck, and try to put the junk food away.

Wtg on your daughters graduation.
I do not sneak junk food. I have learned that if i want it then I need to plan it in my day.
I just eat it responsibly. There is no arguing with yourself you will not win so just plan for it.
I too am losing real slow and know not it really comes down to exercise.
I LOVE EXERCISE.
take care

Have fun, enjoy the summer with her. Although now is hard, September will be harder if she's going away to college. I sat in DD bedroom and cried my eyes out the 1st evening she was gone to college.
Patty's right- plan for your snacks, make good choices, take a walk, do SOMETHING rather than eat.. Eating never solved anything. (remind me of this the next time I'm upset, OK?)

It's tough with all the changes in our lives but I agree with the others! Find something else to distract yourself........You've come too far and done too well to slip back into old habits! You can do it!!!!!!!
