Surgeons schedule BUMS ME OUT

I just found out that the estimated surgery date for me is not August/September like we originally thought but we are now looking at October. 

I was waiting to file for divorce until after the surgery so I would have my current insurance for it but wanted to be done and finalized with the divorce by the end of the year for tax purposes.  I am bummed!!!!!

WOW!  I suppose good things are worth waiting for........your doctor must be in demand!  Hope it all works out for you!  Keep us posted!!!!!!!!

Wow that is still quite a way out.  Can you just make it in the divorce that he has to keep you on his insurance until the end of the year?

I checked with the insurance company...once we have a judge's order he has to take me off..their rules.  I can pay for cobra but that is wayyyyy to pricey

Dr. Toder told me she was hoping desperately for a new surgeon collegue- she even tried to recruit Dr. Loggins. The funny thing is Dr. Loggins tried to recruit her to help him. The good ones are busy in demand, and happy where they are practicing.

Have you asked to be on a cancellation list?

I used it a lot when going through my divorce.  I was able to claim head of household and the kids before I was divorced because we had been separated for 6 months.  Good luck
