Should I Call them...?

Okay so as some of you know I posted earlier last week about having a difficult time eating. Things have definately got better, keeping most things down and really concentrating on eating slower and chewing better and this seems to work. I'm not going to lie, I still are trying to figure out the stopping point or hurry sometimes and have to throw up a little but not all of it.

On the other hand I was at 329 once about a week and half ago and now have been struggling to get under 330 again, i was at 335 for a week and then over the weekend to today are still hovering around 332 or 331 depending on when I weight myself.

I am worried because is it possible I've already slowed down only three and half weeks out and that my "grace period" is already over? I start to worry and think great, here we go again, this isn't going to work too, but I'm really trying to remove negative talk and try to be positve about what I"ve done, which is roughly 50 lbs since January.

However, i can't help but think I have to go back in three weeks and i"m not where they want me to be at 6 weeks.....

Should I call and talk to someone, is something possibly wrong with me?

Thanks for listening guys!

OMG  Jenfa  there is nothing wrong with you.  Your body is going to hold water  or   have little plateaus   You   have lost  20 plus pounds   and that is great.  Just  measure  like you are suppose too and dont eat more than  that.   hard protein is hard to   learn to eat again  so take it slow.

And you have lost  50 pounds since  the beginning  wooo hoo.   that is wonderful!!!

you are doing great.  If you are  hungry  try   a glass of milk  that really  holds me over sometimes.

Patty is right, you are fine.  How many calories are you getting in? Sometimes believe it or not, if you are not getting enough, your body is holding onto every little bit as you are in starvation mode. Give it time!   Make sure you are getting in the amount of protein grams they are telling you.  My Nut told me at least 55 to 65 grams of protein a day.

Jenn, I went through the exact same thing...still am.  At my first visit I was down 17lbs and hit a stall right after I visited the Dr.  I then lost 17 lbs just as they said I would probaby lose for the 6 week follow up.  AND GUESS WHAT.... Yep I have lost 17 more pounds and go for my followup appointment on Thursday.  I have been at a stall for two weeks now and yes it is frustrating because I am exercizing my butt off and the scale stays the same.  I think I am jinxed by the number 17.  Don't worry it will work. See you Saturday!!!!

Well, I think if you look at when else in your life have you averaged a five pound per week weigh loss? I too have finally stalled and even though I knew it would happen it still is hard to see the forest through the trees. We will get there, but many people I have talked to say you sit at a weight for awhile and then all of a sudden you will drop 2, 3, 4 pounds like overnight.  THen stall again.  I have noticed that the my stall started when I was advanced to the next food phase, and I wonder too if I am not getting enough protein in, or too many or not enough calories. We WILL figure this out.  Just think, we are both fifty pounds lighter than we would have been without this journey, that in itself is something to be excited about.  I know I got to give up my BP medicine yesterday and that is a WONDERFUL thing.

It wouldn't hurt to send an email to Lynn and ask her what she thinks, she has heard a lot of stories and can maybe talk to you about this. Also, are you keeping a food journal? I know she'll want to see/hear that.

I'll see you Saturday!

Thanks guys! I feel much better!  I can't wait to see everyone on Saturday at the support group!

I am averaging about 50-55 g of protein a day right now, and making sure I eat three times a day and getting in liquids.

I'm not really looking at calories as long as I get the right amounts of protein in, but I can't imagine I'm getting much more than 500-700 a day.

Anyone have lynn's email so I can just run stuff by her?  What should I be getting for calories a day?

Thanks guys!
