Has anyone out there done the six day pouch test.
It seems that lately I can eat more than before..I'm ten months post-op and I fine that my pouch is taking in more food ,is this normal ?  My weight loss is very slow now about a pound every three weeks.. What should I do ? Or am I doing ok?

I don't think you need to do the pouch test, that is pretty normal from all I have read and expereienced, it does slow down. should 1-1/2C
meal by now and working toward1000-1500 cal.  I found/find I can munch on carbs all day, little here and there, so have to really watch that old habit and keep it from creeping back.  I haven't lost anything since right around Christmas and have increased physical activity by alot.  I am happy right now with healthier and fitter, but ever now and then I would really like the scale to drop..discouraging I know but it will happen for you. Good luck!

It was magic when she realized who she had become...

I can't speak for RNY, but with my band, I ate all day on MOnday,  and I do mean ALL DAY... I actually gainned 4 lbs.  and yes, most of them Carbs.  my body must of been missing something.  yesterday I went back to solid proteins and went all day on track, wasn't hungry and lost 2 lbs. It is so easy to get back to our old habits.  I agree, AGAIN, with Kate, i dont feel the pouch test is necessary, just journal, see what your eating and follow the Rules, they really do work.  good luck.

Sounds like you are doing fine!  I'm eating "normal" portions now and it freaks me out because I never thought I'd be able to eat "normally"!  It's amazing how much I was eating pre-op!  It's all relative I suppose!

The weight loss slows wwwaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyyyyy down as you get closer to goal too!  It's a whole different mind-set when you are close to done losing and the scale just doesn't want to shed those last few pounds!  Just hang in there.........You've done awesome so far!  Just keep working your tool and you'll get where you want/need to be!
