Shawn has started his   liquid diet.      He  has lost  two pounds  but had not been weighed at weigh****chers for a couple of weeks.   He struggles in the evening.  so i  told him to  find a snack under  200 calories that gives him some crunch.   He  has  plain popcorn about a  cup and a half and that has done the trick.   He is going to try to go with out that tonight.   But  he is doing  good for the most part.    I went on the  liquid diet for a couple days to support him and his son  said it was too easy to do that so he joined us on the liquid diet.   but  he can have  soda and other things as he is not on a diet.  He has found that it is not as easy as it  sounds.  He  was missing chewing and he is only 12 years old. lol

But today i am taking my friend in Ellsworth out to  lunch and we are having   lobster.  so that is my reward for being so good.    I lost  two pounds while i was gone and that is a plus  for eating out  three times a day.  But i did get in  some good walking and exercise while i was gone.

Hope everyone has a wonderful  long weekend and   I will pray and remember our  current men and women in the  armed forces and the ones that have  walked across the bridge of glory.

Good for Shawn, I still miss chewing too.  I cheated on my liquid diet, but I only did with protein. I had haddock and couple of times and tuna fish. I also had some chicken. Once I had pizza and it made me very sick so I didn't do that again. I just made sure I didn't cheat the last four days and I still lost almost twenty pounds.  It will be hard for him because he has already been dieting, he may not see a lot of loss and I hope that doesn't discourage him.

Keep up the good support work! And enjoy your lobster (oh, I cheated with that too... )

Round 2.  I have to start thinking about doing the pre-op diet again.  I tried starting it the other day just  to get accustomed to liquid again and the sugar free carnation that i liked the last time I dont like it now.  I dont know..I love just about anything chocolate but this experience was yucky. My mind must be gearing up toward surgery as I am finding a lot of things i just dontt care to eat anymore that i loved.  This is good. I don't mind saying goodbye to this stuff.  Good luck to Shawn.
