Liquid Diet
I am on day five of the liquid diet before surgery. I've been trying to keep track of how many calories and how much protien I've had each day. I seem to be between 500 and 600 calories a day. Is this right? I feel ok other than I'm light headed at times. I copied the phase two diet and pretty much follow it just as it says. The only thing I do different is when I'm having tomato soup or cream of chicken soup I have 12 ounces instead of 8 ounces. I'll try to do better with this over the next few days but I'm ready for something bigger by dinner time and that is when I've been having my soup. I get pretty excited when I have yogurt and have to actually use a spoon!
My surgery date is just around the corner! I'm anxious to have it behind me and be back home and joining many of you on the losers bench!

Make sure to get in all your meals and snacks on the liquid phase. Also keep hydrated.
