Average loss
You NEED to eat to allow your body the freedom to let go of the excess weight. The average is usually around ten lbs. a month. But ....everyone is different. You will experience some slower weight loss at times and sometimes it seems to melt off. Be patient and follow your Dr's diet plan. Keep up the excercise, the weight will continue to drop. I wish you the best

The dietition gave me a chart at my 2-3 week follow up. They like 10% of weigh loss from surgery date. At the 6 week follow up it is between 15 to 20 % weigh loss. I started at 293 surgery date and lost 17lbs at 3 week follow up then another 17 at 6 week follow up. I was righ on target of what they wanted 10.4 % and 20.2%. I hope that helps. A lot depends on how much excess weight you have to loose. YOU WILL ALSO HAVE STALLS. DON"T WORRY they pass.
