Hi I want to plan a day to go hiking with the family.  Can anyone recommend a good place?  I was hoping on the coast somewhere as I would love to take them down to look for sea glass and shells after.  Just not sure where a good place for both of those is.
Thanks

We've found a lot of our hikes here:   www.healthymainewalks.org/findawalk.php    We tend to head towards the mountains more (Grafton Notch, NH, that area) and we love finding waterfalls too,  but it all depends on how much of a challenge you want!  I love taking the family hiking!  It's some great "bonding" time!  Let me know if you find a nice one!!!!!!  We're always looking for new places to go and see!!!!

I love FOrt Williams in Cape Elizabeth, walking on the rocks is so much fun.  there is also a trail, picnic area, beach, Mansion. light house.  it's awesome and GREAT  pictures.

That is where my sister and her fiancee are getting married next month!  It is a fun place to walk!  I must agree!

Dodge Point in Newcastle is nice. It goes to the Damariscotta River. A great place for a picnic. It's about 2 miles.

I am fond of the Belfast area myself.  Moose Point State Park or Camden Hills.  But MP Park there are BBQ's and the beach and plenty of hiking around and shoreline to walk on.
