well I had GBS last Thursday and I've been home since Saturday morning. I think i'm doing pretty well. I'm not in a lot of pain, only been taking tylenol since Sunday night now and doing well. Really have a lot of gas pain but that's to be expected I guess.

When I came home I was at 354.2 after surgery, on the day of surgery i was 351.6 and then today I'm at 349.2. So I guess it's going the right way finally.

The surgery went well, i was really nervious because it was my first time, but I think overall it wasn' t as bad as i expected it to be. I was waiting in pre-op and Dr. Toder called to check on m weight from her other surgery and she was happy where i was!!! Thank god!

Surgery only took an hour and half and she did it robotically. She told my family I did very well and that my pouch was very tiny and everything looked good.

The first night in the hospital I couldn't sleep, I had a hot male nurse over the evening shift that might of had something to do with it! LOL

I had a lot of visitors and Tracy and Melanie came to see me the next day! thank you guys!

I walked 16 laps the first day and 7 before leaving on Saturday morning.

I'm at the point where I'm ready to be back to normal and ready to tear but my body is not, but I know that is to be expected to some degree.

I had my first outing yesterday and went into work to see some co-workers for a few minutes and walked around walmart with my mom for a few minutes.

Thank you all for the kind words and support, I appreciate all your help and encouragement!

You will start to lose faster now.  They fill you full of fluids in the hospital.  Sounds like you are doing well, glad to hear it!  Keep on walking and sipping and the gas should get better from what everyone says. TTYL!

Glad to hear all went well, that you are home and doing well!  Make sure to rest when you need to!  Keep sipping and walking!  The walking really does help with the gas!  Give yourself time to recouperate!  This is major surgery though it doesn't look like much from the outside!   Welcome to the loser's bench!!!!!   Congrats!!!!!
