Thirst......cold
This sounds strange to me. I do not like to drink anything that is not ICE cold. I mean a full glass of ice. If it is not drinking I want popsicles. I just cant seem to get my mouth cold enough. Anyone ever had this problem? I am drinking a lot. I sip all day long. Also, I feel like I burp more since surgery than I ever di before. Is that normal?
I wanted cold things but not to the point of having it cold for popsicles. but i wanted ice in everything and still do. But yes you will burp more as the more you sip the more air you get in the pouch try taking a bigger sip. You have healed a little by now so you can try a bigger sip. I found when i started taking bigger sips the burping got better. But yes I burped more right after surgery.
I went through different stages when I was healing. One I only wanted ice water, couldn't stand crystal light- too sweet. Coffee tasted awful- oh no! Now I'm fine with it. For a while I only wanted lemon in my water. Now Crystal light mized 1/2 strength ( twice the water) is my drink of choice
Also- I had favorite glasses and bottles. For a while plastics made things taste funny to me. I thought that was the weirdest.

Yup. Perfectly normal yet an odd thing we got thru. some of us also want spicy foods. you will find a little further out you will be freezing all the time. we lose so much of our "insulation" it takes time for our bodies to adjust. i'm pretty regulated now but i'm over a year out.
you will burp more and toot more. LOL. your tummy is apt to make funny noises too.

I didn't have the cold drink issue, but definitely the burping. I swear I would never burp...I guess I just had no gas. But after the surgery I was burping ALL the time. It did go away (well most of it). I was paranoid that I would be burping all the time for awhile. But the further out I am the less it happens.
