Or any other natural diaster that may crop up.  James' school sent home a notice yesterday about the pandemic and we should be prepared for it if we happen to have to stay inside for 2 weeks.  I'm like thinking to myself wth, is it something I really need to worry about right now?  So after talking with my MIL and my mother I ended up doing errands to stock up on stuff just in case...lol.  I just love the way the news broadcasts state the updates....."Confirmed probable cases"  Confirmed and probable just don't seem to fit together....just creates more panic I think.  Oh well just my thoughts on it all.  I'm ready to pack  up my kids and head north to Jackman, maybe the fresh mountain air will be the cure all!

well, the bar is stocked up, and i did groceries for $400 yesterday, so I think we can do fine.  the worst would be milk.  I should get some canned milk for cooking. hmmm/??  you never know.  also the grocery store said people are stocking up.  we gotta do what we gotta do.

Yep that's what I was thinking...I hate feeding into all the hype though.  Oh well, at least I won't have to do groceries for a while!

hype, ?? yea maybe, but wouldn't it suck if it happenned and you weren't prepared with kids and all.  look at all those people who didnt' want to leave when Katrina hit NOrleans???

I hate to admit that I am headed to wally world myself to stock up on some stuff, couple cases of slimfast, some skim milk, 5 calorie juice, carnation instant breakfast, LOL.  I already hate this liquid diet, I hope it gets easier after this!

I don't blame you for wanting to be prepared, usually that is the best way to avoid it. If you weren't prepared for it, it would happen.

Our school sent home a similar note yesterday.  I really need to get out and get some groceries but I was stuck home without a car today.  I do have 3 cases of bottled water though, so that's a start.  I just hate to feed into all the hype and clear the shelves at the stores.

Well you can all come to my house to shop.  I always keep at least  two months of food on hand!!
I keep dry milk in house so i dont have to worry about that if need be.    You are going to find  that this flu will be no different than the hong kong flu in the  70s  that i got and survived.   Drink  drink drink is the number one rule and for us wls  we are suppose to do that anyways.   So if everyone stays home  i will have  town to myself.  lol   Have a great day.  I really think they are  overdoing  it a bit.   If i get sick i will stay home  drink  call the doctor  and  go from there.

they might be over doing it, but if they don't do anything they would get slammed for that too.  We all have to do what we feel is right for us and our family.

I got 3 separate notices from each of the kids and another one in the mail today about this this pandemic!  AND, because I work in the healthcare field, I got a memo and email and voicemail at work too!  I know we need to be safe and prepared, but I think sometimes, it's just too much info!  I know we have plenty of food in the house.  All I need to get is a bit of milk and some bread........maybe tomorrow, if we aren't busy!  If not, I won't "sweat" it!   Hope no one out there gets sick!!!!!!!!
