Back on track

I've discovered that this journey never ends.  I used to hear people who had WLS talk about how they did surgery on our stomachs and not on our heads and I thought  they were wrong.  I was cruising along and got to goal weight.  Then I learned what they mean.  I gained about 70 pounds over a few years and was getting desparate.  But I've slowly gotten on track and have lost 27 pounds and it feels so good.  I'm thankful every day for this surgery, I was never able to control my eating without it and wouldn't be able to do it on my own now.  I feel so blessed.
I'm so excited, one more pound till onederland.......

Way to go!  You've managed to take everyone's biggest fear and show that it can be overcome with determination. You should pat yourself on the back.

Welcome  back  and it is nice to see you.   It is true that they   operated on our stomach and not our head but it sure  does help.    You have done  marvelous and to get back on track  is  so  wonderful.  I can see where it would be easy to get back in to old ways and  put weight back on.

Have a great  day and wow you are such and inspiration!!!!

Congrats on getting back on track!  It's awesome to know that the tool still works for us if we work it!  Congrats!

I love this forum.  It helps me so much to read  what other people are saying.  There is a wealth of knowledge out there that people share and tips that other people use.
When it comes down to it, most of us have the same struggles and it gives me so much encouragement to keep on going....
The tool still works but I have to remember that it's there...old habits die hard.
Enjoy the sun...what a beautiful day in Maine.
Thanks so much......
Sharon
