Why can't you use Ibuprofen after surgery?  This is the first I've heard of this.  Would be good to know before I have my surgery so I can discuss options with doctor since my cramping is equivalent to labor contractions.  Tylenol definately does not cut it in regards to this matter. Please enlighten me.

Ibuprofen is hard on a regular tummy. I think it is just too much for the little pouches we end up with. I am going to ask my dr. for something when I go tomorrow, for next time.  That was NO fun.

I also used to have SEVERE cramping. It was so bad that nothing would help it, even the 800mg ibuprofin the Dr gave me. I had an ablation and have not had a cramp or any sign of pms since January 2006 when I had it done! It is awesome!

Any NSAID puts people with RNY at higher risk for ulcers!  NOT fun!!  Trust me!!!!
