Seafood ?
Hi Kelly.
A food that works for one person may not work for another. So please don't be afraid to add foods to your diet as you go along.
I don't have any problems eating seafood. Actually I do better with seafood than with pork, chicken, or red meats. I had my surgery mid June 2008. Late July 2008 I ate lobster for the first time and it tasted wonderful. Give lobster a try...just skip the melted butter.
After surgery one of the first solid foods I tried was shrimp. It also does well with me. I always keep frozen shrimp in my house. It's great for a snack or lunch. I do skip the sauce...umm well, usually. I have been known to use ****tail sauce on a piece or two.
I also do well with crab and scallops.
But that's me. Kelly if you try a food and it doesn't work for you don't hesitate to try it again in the future. Sometimes I'll eat a food and do well with it. I'll have it again in a few weeks and I just cannot eat it. Then the third time I do well with it again. Kelly also don't be afraid to try a food that you didn't care for previous to surgery. You may find you like it now.
