I had my surgery!!

Well it is over!  I felt fine in the hospital.  Drank my water, walkes the loops..etc.  Than theysaid I could go home.  Well EMMC & Walmart are about 2 miles.  I had to go get meds.  My DH brought them in.  While he was in tehre, I started to throw up!  Nasty!   I threw up all the way home (10miles) and all day and night long.  Sometimes it was just the dry heaves!  I got out at 10am.  The only thing we (me & the DR) can come up with is I got carsick and I have had some post nasal drip that was adding to it.  This morning I am feeling better so far.  Lets hope so.  I am only drinking water and maybe jello or yogurt per DR for today.  Just keeping hydrated.  My children have been wonderful!  The house is clean, the little kids are happy and fed.  I will keep you all posted.  Thank you for all your prayers and support!  Oh ya my pre surgery weight was 23lbs I have to change my ticker!
  Anything is possible with GOD!!

First of all- Welcome to the loosers bench.
Buckle up and get ready for the ride of weight loss. It's unbelievable.

I'm sorry you had the throw ups. That sucks with your intestines being so tender. Dr. Toder is wonderful!

Good to hear that surgery went well and that you are home. Rest and sip, sip, sip.

RNY on 11/21/07 with
Oh  my  Jacki   that is awful.  Yes doctor toder  knows best and she wants you to give the pouch a break.  It is awful when you  have the dry heaves  and are just out from surgery it sure makes  the pouch angry.  so takes a little while for the pouch to  calm down.

I am so glad that your  children had it all in order.  They are all great kids  and  that  is the best.
Have a great sunday  and  sip slowly  and  enjoy the sun.

Wow, I'm glad you are home but so sorry to hear you were sick. Must be scary to throw up right after surgery.  I get car sick and I have been worried the ride home from the hospital will be difficult too.  I NEVER ride on the passenger's side, I always drive.  Hope you are on the mend.

Congratulations.  I remember my ride home.  I live about 1.5 hours away.  I didn't think of taking nausea meds till I was leaving the driveway of the hospital then popped one.  It really helped.  Sorry you are feeling so crappy.  It will get better soon.  Have a great day and enjoy the sun.
